Creating a mixology kit & website suited for multiple audiences.

A team of two designers and I set out to create a brand that would feature monthly cocktail kits as well as a marketplace online. Featured here is our design process behind the branding and website design, which allowed us to bring this current product to fruition.

We worked closely with an industrial designer, Mariano Fernandez to produce a package that follows the perfect square. The box is modeled on the golden ratio where the sum of the size of the whole package divided by the larger box is equal to the larger box divided by the smaller box.

We started researching certain demographics and their alcohol consumption patterns to then create user personas that may visit Blend. We scoped out the leading brands selling alcohol kits to determined what functioned well and what needed to be refined within their business models and UI. Here we focused our research on their subscription kits and their branding identity. These competitors included Cocktail Courier and Shaker & Spoon.

We created six personas based on user's buying & mixology habits from our research on alcohol consumption demographics. These all relate to our MVP features of the site.
